The studio
A quiet room, and all the time it takes
Becks Beauty is a single-station studio in Peterborough. There is no shop floor and no waiting area, because there is only ever one appointment booked at a time.
That is the whole idea. Nail and lash work is slow work — prep, shaping, mapping, curing, finishing — and it shows immediately when it has been rushed. Booking one client per slot means a set gets the hours it actually needs, and you get somewhere calm to sit while it happens.
- Free parking directly outside, and step-free access from the street.
- Consultation and patch tests built into every first appointment.
- Aftercare notes by text, and a check-in a week after any new set.

Good to know

Acrylic and gel extensions hold for three to four weeks before they need infills. Gel polish on the natural nail gives two to three weeks. Individual lashes last around six weeks with infills every two to three; cluster lashes are a shorter-term option and are usually removed after two.
Individual lashes are applied one extension to one natural lash. It takes longer, it costs more, and it is far kinder to your own lashes — nothing is stuck to anything but a single hair, so each extension sheds naturally with the lash it is on. Cluster lashes are small pre-made fans bonded across several lashes at once: much quicker and cheaper, excellent before an event, but not something to wear back-to-back for months.
For lashes, yes, if it is your first appointment or it has been over a year — at least 48 hours beforehand. It takes five minutes, there is no charge, and it cannot be skipped or done on the day. Nail treatments do not need one.
Yes, and it is a good idea rather than picking at it yourself. Removal is £15 on its own, and free when you rebook a new set on the same day. If your natural nails need a break first, that gets said honestly.
Twenty-four hours' notice is plenty and there is no charge. Because only one client is booked at a time, a no-show is a slot nobody else could take, so repeated ones may mean a deposit on future bookings.
